Default Catholic Church

Todays news just makes me sick, religion is one thing and I am fine with practising roman catholics but covering up children being abused is inexcusable. No wonder the catholic church gets such a bad name.I bet the majority of good roman catholics are outraged by this.
The RC church must stop operating outside of the law,we're not talking about petty theft or anything here.I am angered by this and if it was my COS minister that was covering up things like this then I would never return to church.

Disgraceful stuff, the victims had their lives destroyed when they were defenceless kids. I haven't read the report but it seems the church managed to not only cover the abuse up but allowed it to continue. People need to see here that the child molesters are brought to justice.

Dermot Ahern, Minister for Justice has promised to prosecute all the abusers no matter when it happened. Hope he sees it through. The state covered it up as well, hardly surprising considering the influence the church had in Ireland. Hope this severs church from state once and for all.

The whole thing's an absolute disgrace.

I'AM a practising Catholic and yes the full ugly thing disgust's every normal thinking person on the planet regardles of what there beliefs are. Not only should the ofenders be hung the people from the state involved in the cover up should also face criminal charges no matter who they are. These people and i use the word loosly i realy ment "scum" are a poison to family life.Forget prison just shoot the f*****s

Yep ....anyone who stands back and allows child abuse is as guilty as the perpetrator ......No excuses ,they should be jailed for their part in child abuse ...whether they be catholic priests or church of scotland ministers or anglican ministers or lay ministers...they cannot be allowed to go scot free and they must be made to pay for their crimes on this earth ...although they will indeed pay in the next life .
I would not blame the religions for their men of the cloth being beasts but these beasts used religion as their cover ...this is a choice that has been made by the men who perpetrated these acts on children who cried themselves to sleep every night .Not all priests and ministers are demons ...i have known many good priests and good ministers who have spent their life working tirelessly for their parish and community .Any man of the cloth who perpetrated these deeds against innocent children are demons in disguise and when their life comes to an end .....as it certainly will ....then those demons will be waiting at that very moment to take them to where they deserve to spend eternity .....in hell !
I know of one fella who was in reform school as a young lad and his life there was a misery ,regularly he was made to strip right off and run around the park nude in the pissing rain while these sick bastards who made them do it would get their kicks out of it .....no hot shower for them and they were warned that if they got their bedclothes dirty they would be in for some more of the rough treatment the following day.....of course this led to these young boys lying sleeping on the floor until the next morning when they could get a shower ......man's inhumanity to man . I even had teachers at my high school who would happily belt the feck out of pupils for no other reason than not knowing the answers in science class...to me they were just as sick . I got this regular until i decided i would take no more ...and i rarely went back to school after that .
I had one maths teacher who caught me 'lounging' with my arm on the desk...he knocked my arm flying and asked if i would like him to bring in an arm chair so i could get comfier in his class .......of course i answered "that would be nice of you ....sir" ....his face turned five differnt shades and then he lifted me clean out my seat and had me by the throat against a wall ..... he was choking me and i could not get a breath but i managed to smile at him as he was doing his worst .......if not for two of my class mates coming to my aid god knows what would have happened ....but it just shows ye what some people are like .....a bad mad man indeed ....i never went back to his class and he never said anything as he did not want me back . I always swore to myself that if i ever met these 'hard men' when i had left school and put on a bit of muscle and weight .....i would knock seven bells out them....it never happened as i never happened to meet any ex teachers ....well.....i did meet one and actually he was not to bad a guy , he was a woodwork teacher and he had lost a part of his forefinger in a band saw......he always used to shout at us "keep your fingers clear of machinery " and we would all piss ourselves laughing at him ...i was usualy half pissed in his friday aftrenoon class anyway so i would not go near machinery . He was by no means the worst offender and i,m pretty sure his hands were full with guys who were not interested in woodwork ......but there were many worse teachers than him and some seem to take a sick kick out of making people sweat or trying to make them look small .
